Salford’s Valmar 56 Series implement-mount units are designed for commercial and farm use. • The Valmar 56 Series features multiple mounting options which allow it to be used with a wide variety of implements. The 3-point hitch mount uses an integrated drawbar rated for either 350 or 600 HP. The tow-behind option is designed to be a safer, operator-friendly option, allowing operators to easily fill and calibrate the 56 Series without having to climb over the implement’s frame. The applicator itself has a platform for easy access to the hopper and a ladder that folds away while in operation. Both the 3-point hitch mount and the tow-behind options eliminate the need for implement specific mounting brackets and hardware, making the 56 Series instantly compatible with virtually any implement.

• The metering system on the Valmar 6056 Series features 2 metering rollers which can be fitted with either a 28 groove or 12 groove rollers to provide a wide range of application rates with a wide range of products including granular herbicides, fertilizers, and cover crop seeds. These rollers feed either 24 or 32 outlets (depending on option selected), which allows for use on implements up to 90 feet wide. Equipped with magnetic clutches, the metering system on the 56 Series allows for left hand / right hand control with an in-cab control unit. The ground-driven metering system option uses a 60-speed gearbox that ensures an accurate application rate regardless of ground speed. The 56 Series may also be connected to a third-party ISOBUS control unit to allow for use of variable rate and prescription application.

• Calibrating an applicator is necessary to ensure proper flow rates, especially when determining the settings for new products or various sizes of seed and seed mixtures. The 56 Series applicators make this process easier by allowing the Venturi and manifold system to be dropped so that a funnel tray can be inserted for easy collection of product. Operators can use the crank handle to simulate ground travel and establish precise calibration of any product. This also makes emptying the hopper an easy and safe procedure.

• The 56 series granular metering system accurately and gently handles seed, fertilizer and or herbicide, at a wide range of application rates. These machines are ideal for seeding cover crops, low rate herbicide application. The 56 series stainless steel and plastic metering components standup to fertilizer without any risk of corrosion.
